Cheryl first tasted homeschooling as a child traveling the world in a homemade yacht. Since then, she’s homeschooled the children of a friend and a relative, as well as taught her own children from the very beginning. Her oldest is now a teen doing high school at home and her youngest will be officially school-aged soon enough. In addition, she currently leads an active inclusive homeschool support group, does annual home education evaluations for homeschoolers throughout Florida, writes, spends time with her husband and children, and gets out of the house periodically to play games or knit with friends.
Cheryl has written a variety of articles for Fostering Families Today and Home Education Magazine as well as a book about her childhood adventures, Around the World in a Cement Boat, which is available from a variety of online booksellers.
